NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. SEE BELOW FOR FULL CONTEST DETAILS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF, AND AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY, THESE CONTEST RULES (the “Contest Rules”).

Eligibility

The Contest is open only to legal residents of Canada, excluding residents of the province of Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence on the date that they entered the Contest. Void where prohibited by law. Employees, directors, officers, representatives, agents of MTY Franchising Inc. (the “Administrator”), and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, franchisees, subsidiaries, distributors, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies, agents, sponsors, and any entity that they contract with specific to the Contest, as well as the immediate family members, and any persons domiciled with any of the above (whether related or not), are not eligible to win a Prize, as defined herein.

Contest Period:

The Contest begins December 9th, 2024 at 12:00am EST and ends on December 20th, 2024 at 11:59pm EST (the “Contest Period”).

HOW TO ENTER

Commencing on December 9, 2024 , MR.SUB Rewards members and customers who sign up for MR.SUB Rewards are eligible via https://rewards.mrsub.ca/12daysofgiveways  (the “MR.SUB Website”)  to enter one (1) digital scratch card “Entry” ( or if referred to in plural herein, the “Entries”) per day.  Each Entry contains one (1) scratch section, that when uncovered may reveal a prize message. The prize message will describe the specific prize available to be won, if applicable. Limit of one (1) Entry per person per twenty-four (24) hour period. Multiple Entries from the same person within twenty-four (24) hour period will be disqualified.

Prize Redemption Details

The Administrator will contact the winning contestant by January 3rd, 2025 to update them on when their prize will be delivered. To claim his/hers Prize, the winning contestant will have to correctly answer the skill testing question found in these Contest Rules. Prizes can be claimed at 2, East Beaver Creek Road, Building One, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, L4B 2N3, delivered to the winning contestant’s residential address or sent via winners email, at Administrator’s discretion. The Administrator reserves the right to withdraw the Prize from the winning contestant and reissue a new winning Entry if the Administrator is unable to contact the winning contestant after three (3) e-mail notification attempts within ten (10) business days.   All correspondence relating to prize redemption will be sent from the sender: rewards@mrsub.ca.

Odds of Winning

Contestants have 1 in 50000 chances of obtaining a winning Entry. Odds may change based on the number of Entries.

Use of  Personal Information

 

The Administrator may use and share contestants’ personal information with its service providers and/or prize sponsors for the purpose of administering the contest, including to contact the winners and coordinate remittance of the Prizes.

Consent to Publicity

The Administrator may use any winning contestant’s name, comments, voice, likeness and/or picture in any advertising, promotion and/or publicity carried out now or in the future, in any media without compensation or notice. Winning contestants grant the Administrator any and all rights to such use without compensation.

Limitation of Liability/Release

Participants and/or the winning contestants of this Contest as well as their heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns (the “Contest Participants”), release and forever discharge and hold harmless the Administrator and its direct and indirect parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, advisors, franchisees, shareholders, partners, representatives, their advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from and against any and all losses, damages (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages), rights, claims, actions, causes of action, personal injury, property damage or death, including without limitation all costs and liabilities of any kind including legal fees on a substantial indemnity scale, hereinafter called “Claims” and including without limitation any claims arising from any act of negligence of the Released Parties, that the Contest Participants may presently or hereafter have against the Released Parties directly or indirectly resulting or arising from: (i) participation in the Contest, (ii) the awarding, acceptance, possession, use, misuse or enjoyment of any Prize, and where applicable, traveling to, preparing for, or participating in, any Contest-related and/or Prize-related event or activity; and (iii) the publicity rights granted to the Administrator. Contest Participants specifically acknowledge and understand that there may be serious risks of bodily injury, death, or property damage associated with the possession, use and/or misuse of the Prizes, and attendance at any event or participation in certain Prize-related activities, and Contest Participants voluntarily assume these risks. Contest Participants further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all Claims in respect of the foregoing.

Technical Issues

The Administrator is not responsible for any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical limitations or malfunctions that may occur (including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an Entry, or failure to receive an Entry), whether caused by a contestant, a website users and/or by any of the equipment and/or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Entries in the Contest, nor for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or receipt of Entry, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or digital alteration of Entries, nor for any incorrect and/or inaccurate information provided by a contestant. The Administrator is also not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone or network lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, email, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website or on account of any combination of the foregoing; and is not responsible for any injury or damage to contestants or to any computer related injury or damage resulting from participating in downloading materials in this Contest. In the event that, due to a programming error of any kind or nature whatsoever, there are more winning Entries than are intended to be awarded according to these Contest Rules, Prizes will stop being awarded as soon as the Administrator becomes aware of this error and the Administrator reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to conduct a random draw from amongst all eligible Entries to award the remaining number of advertised Prizes. In no event will the Administrator be liable for more than the stated number of Prizes contained in these Contest Rules.

Rights to Terminate, Modify and/or Suspend the Contest

The Administrator retains the right, in their absolute discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate any aspect of the Contest (including, but not limited to these Contest Rules) at any time. The Administrator may make substitutions of equivalent kind or value in the event of the unavailability of a Prize or Prizes (or component thereof) for any reason whatsoever. The Administrator may terminate or withdraw this Contest at any time by posting a notice on the MR.SUB Website. If the Contest is terminated on any day prior to the normal Contest end date (the “Termination Date”), the Administrator will determine the winners from all eligible Entries received as of 12:00 p.m. EST on the Termination Date.

General Disqualification

Any attempt made by a contestant or other individual or entity, to deliberately damage, manipulate and/or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims and/or any digital forgery, copy or reproduction of an Entry and/or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, is in violation of these rules and the law. The Administrator reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any such contestant or individual or entity which makes any such attempt. Any contestant who, in the opinion of the Administrator, is determined to be engaging in any of the foregoing activities will be immediately disqualified from the Contest.

Jurisdiction

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law. Any decision made by the Administrator in respect of this Contest shall be final and binding.
